About
Stuart Liddell is a filmmaker, editor, camera operator and digital content producer, with over 10 years experience across video, audio/visual and education industries. He was the multimedia and creative design officer for Northern Territory Music School in Alice Springs, part of a small team producing the “VAMPtv” program. Co-creating a fortnightly magazine-style edu-tainment show with remote community schools, his duties would be to write, direct, shoot and edit good-interest stories that showcase students who engage in music and the arts. He is a freelance videographer/editor with over a decade of first hand experience working for arts and non-government organisations. He is technicaly minded and has produced and directed live multi-cam streaming events. He started in Newcastle as a nightly news editor, transitioning to Melbourne to work for ABC Victoria’s 7pm News. Later, he relocated to the NT where a strong passion for sharing stories and using video to preserve indigenous culture took a strong hold. Stuart’s skillset transcends industry and vocation. From producing music videos for classrooms in the Central Desert, to releasing eye-catching online trailers for Ilbijerri Theatre, Stuart’s colleagues are as satisfied as they are diverse - The City of Melbourne, Falls Festival (Tasmania and Lorne), NT governing organisations Central Land Council and social enterprises Indigenous Business Australia and Aboriginal Legal Aid - while celebrating rich and vibrant culture with festivals and the arts curated by Barkly Regional Arts, Caama Music, Outer Urban Projects, Platform Youth Theatre (Vic) and Outback Theatre for Young People (NSW).
